Brigham Young taught, if I recall correctly, that as we progress in the Gospel to become more like Christ we have an increased capacity to feel pleasure and joy.

I wonder if the converse is true also--that we also have an increased capacity to feel sorrow.  This image from the Book of Moses, where our Father weeps, has always been powerfully evocative for me.  I have the sense that just as Father&#039;s love is different than my love (as strongly and as purely as I can muster), his sorrow and anguish for his children (because of this love?) must be more intense than I can imagine.]]></description>
