Served several years in the Illinois State Senate, won election to the U.S. Senate against a guy who was certifiably nuts (Alan Keyes), showed no evidence that he's done much in his two years in the Senate: is this the best the Democrats can come up with? I would be delighted to see Obama on the ballot. My only hesitancy is his relative youth and experience level, both of which may make him more suitable as a vice presidential nominee.
