No tea, no stodgy Yankee cooking…
Rumor has it that Mark IV will be in Boston next weekend, which is more than enough excuse for a party! Lots of nerdy Mormons, Tennessee barbecue, fried green tomatoes, sweet potato biscuits, peach/blackberry cobbler. Y’all come!!
My house, Saturday the 28th, 4ish until whenever. E-mail me for directions, etc. kristinedothaglundatgmail.

Mark likes a good gumbo, I think. Just a suggestion.

Hmmm. Good idea. But the okra up north? It’s medi-okra.

Medi-okra? There is no such thing, it is all good. In the pure Adamic language, okra means True and Living Vegetable.
Now, that is what I call establishing your bona fides as a Southerun. Well done! Since sweet tea is out, I’ll bring the white lightnin’. Last week’s batch was especially potent.

Mark, I like your take on the WoW.

Mark was talking about home-made Mountain Dew.

“Since sweet tea is out . . .”
Wait — I thought the WoW only banned _hot_ drinks.

Kristine, are you any relation to Bishop Haglund?
June 24, 2008 at 9:52 pm
SSA, I’m related to several Bishop Haglunds–if you’re in MA, Karl’s my uncle. And please come!!
June 25, 2008 at 4:25 pm
Ahh, thanks Kristine. I actually saw him last night(he’s my Bishop), he was helping me out with something, and I remembered to ask. He is very proud of your writing. Maybe I will e-mail you for some details. I didn’t realize any of you lived in the area! Thanks for the invite!

So if we bring a fresh-caught striped bass or bluefish, there’ll be a grill to cook it?
