Being *overtly* informed by Christian ethics IMO means making no bones about the fact that one is trying to do what Jesus would have them do. I don&#039;t think that is worlds away from inferring God -- especially in the case of the economist who is influenced to balance a budget this way or that by what he thinks God thinks.

That said, I&#039;m not anti-evolution or science -- I tend to follow the consensus. What I don&#039;t like though is this sense of removing the Creator from Creation -- on the part of the scientific community, that is (not individuals).  Gone are the days when brilliant men and women could look up into the heavens and praise God for the beauty of the universe without fear of rejection by their colleagues. Nowadays one must silently shout praises to God in his closet while giving Darwin all the Glory in peer reviewed journals.]]></description>
