This resonated with me because my grandma died a year and a half ago and every time I went to their house for Thanksgiving, the parade was on. I live in New York, so I was actually able to go on Thursday and I thought of her when I was there. I didn't think much of the fact that I was named after her until she died, and then I was really happy that a piece of her was still moving forward through me.
