Benjamin Park grew up in New Mexico, served a mission to Washington DC, and received a bachelor’s degree in English and history from Brigham Young University, during which time he met his wife and best friend, Catherine, while on an internship in Salt Lake City. Their marriage has produced two adorable kids with amazingly curly hair. Graduate studies have taken him and his family to Edinburgh (for an MSc in historical theology), Cambridge (for an MPhil in Political Thought and a PhD [in process] in history), and Boston (where he is currently on a research fellowship). He has written several articles on the development of Mormon thought, ritual, and culture, and serves on the boards for both Journal of Mormon History and Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought. (More academic background is found at benjaminepark.com.)n Ben’s favorite calling in the Church is gospel doctrine teacher; otherwise, you can find him in the back row reading his iPad. He also blogs at juvenileinstructor.org.
