The Year In Review: Be of Good Cheer Poll

We couldn’t close out the year with at least one more poll — so enjoy!  To vote or see results, click below.

p.s. I have no idea why the background turns green.  The color of pine trees, perhaps?   Whatever.

  1. Well, if you would only link to me, I’d update my links to the new url (though I really like the old one).

    Ok, cream.

  2. Sure there have been some notable low points, especially in the political arena, but taken all together life remains wonderful.

Nothing against parents, but once you leave their house and can order your life more or less like you want to, every year gets better.

  3. I guess part of the analysis we could make is whether this is about how the year affected you personally, or how the year’s events went in general.

    Either way I vote crap.

  4. I always try to have a positive outlook and I think overall the years events treated me very well.

I also think many good events occured and some of the bad ones were not nearly as bad as they could have been.

I vote cream. Especially when its stuffed inside a tastey chocolate Zinger! mmmmmm

  5. Wow, a lot of happy people out there! Well then to you I hope more of the same in 2005!

  6. Hey, no one died, I survived the family reunion (my parent’s 50th), and I launched my own blog. What more could I ask for (other than a link from bcc — you guys link to me and I’ll update my link to you to the new url — come on, is that a deal or what?).

  7. Stephen M, I’m noticing a certain theme in your comments. Let me see what I can do. It may take some time.

  8. I wouldn’t mind a little quid pro quo either. I’ve got you in my links.

  9. We as a country seem to have forgotten about protecting minorities from the tyranny of the majority. Iraq is a nightmare, and it was entirely optional, and yet, there we are…trapped in a nightmare of one man’s making. What America apparently wants most is a drinking buddy in chief.

And on top of it all, I’ve been out of work for over a year.

  10. Ann,

I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been out of work so long. That can be terrible, I’ve been through dry stretches like that and they were so very painful.

You have my sympathy, even if there is little I can do.

  11. Tom Manney says:

My favorite radio show is being canceled
I’m still utterly destitute with wife and children
    The Seahawks suck again

My wife gave birth to our first son and he’s a real charmer
Got my first post-college job (and haven’t been fired so far!)
Several huge storms ended the drought here
The Red Sox beat the Yankees and won the World Series

  12. Looks like all those prayers for ‘moisture’ have really paid off, Tom.
