May is Bike to Church Month at By Common Consent, and Mother’s Day is no exception. Ride your bike to church this month and share your pics with us! Today we feature Kari Waters from Syracuse, NY, very on point for Mother’s Day rocking the toddler in rear seat!
And here’s me experimenting with a maxi dress (tied up easily and was, surprisingly, no problem).
Join in the celebration of happy, healthy, environmentally-friendly travel to church by sending your bike to church pics to sisterblah2@gmail.com, or tweet @bycommonconsent with hashtag #biketochurch.
Heather joined our Mother’s Day celebration by tweeting this fun pic of her with three kids in the cargo bike. I bow to her awesomeness: she lives car-free like this every day!

Sounds fun! I’m 12 miles from my building and have 5 kids… should I try it?
I live 45 miles from my church, but I haven’t ruled it out yet…
Awesome! I love the pictures!
Holly, that would be very ambitious! I would try maybe shorter rides to see how your legs feel. Without regular training, that’s a long way even for an adult. Do you have a car bike rack? Maybe you could try to arrange something like drive the bikes to a location much closer to church (lunch picnic in a park?) and then bike from there. That’s a lot of logistics to handle though.
